 The Region Minimize

The RegionPennsylvania's Heartland is the heart of the Keystone State. You’ll find something new in our area to the halls of Penn State University in Centre County to the rich farmlands of Snyder County, there is something for everyone. The central part of the state is full of small non-urban communities that exude charm from every corner and feature great places to raise a family.

The RegionThe communities of Pennsylvania's Heartland are far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet close enough to go for a visit. The quiet and relaxed atmosphere offers a change of pace from other parts of the state, but there’s still plenty of activities to keep the whole family busy. The region is full of state forests and parks that are great for picnics, hikes and observing nature. There’s a wide array of unique restaurants and dishes that are exclusive to this area. Be sure to check out the Amish road-stands, where the food tastes as good as it looks, and the area's Buy Fresh Buy Local program.

The RegionNo matter how you spend your time in Pennsylvania's Heartland, there is always something to see and do that will keep you coming back for more. Whether it’s collegiate athletics, unique shopping experiences, or hiking in the beautiful forests, our region offers a unique and enjoyable experience to everyone.  Read and download brochures on the diverse experiences of the region here: Valleys of the Susquehanna.
